1.1 Cut out the soap in half.
1.2 Smooth the soap.
1.3 Slice off the top of your soap.
1.4 Fold the paper in half.
1.5 Fold the paper in thirds.
1.6 Draw a line with a pointed tool.
1.7 Mark the soap into 6 sections.
1.8 Draw a circle.
1.9 Make a half circle cut in each section.
1.10 Remove the soap around the cuts.
1.11 Make 6 straight cuts as shown.
1.12 In each section, cut 2 half circle shapes out as shown.
1.13 Smooth your soap around the flower shape.
1.14 Make round petal cuts around the flower.
1.15 Keeping the blade at an angle, cut the flower shape soap out.
1.16 Neaten the flower edge.
1.17 Make a hole in the center.
1.18 Apply glue to the petal and attach an 8 mm pearl bead.
Pointed petal kanzashi flower
2.1 Repeat step 1.1 or use second half of your soap from previous carving.
2.2 Repeat steps 1.2-1.3.
2.3 Mark the soap into 8 sections.
2.4 Draw a circle.
2.5 Make a marquise shape cut in each section.
2.6 Remove the soap around the petals.
2.7 Make marquise shaped depression on each petal.
2.8 Smooth your soap around the flower shape.
2.9 Make pointed petal sape cuts around the flower.
2.10 Remove the soap around the flower shape.
2.11 Smooth your soap around the flower shape.
2.12 Make a petal shape cut between 2 petals.
2.13 Remove the soap around the petals.
2.14 Cut drop shaped depression on petals as shown.
2.15 Smooth your soap around the flower shape.
2.16 Make pointed petal shape cuts.
2.17 Keeping the blade at an angle, cut the flower shape soap out.
2.18 Make a hole in the center.
2.19 Apply glue to the petal and attach 10 mm, 3 mm and 4 mm pearl beads as shown on photo.
Kanzashi petals
3.1 Repeat step 1.1 or use the rest of your soap from previous carving.
3.2 Repeat step 1.2.
3.3 Draw a marquise shape as shown.
3.4 Make a marquise shape cut and remove soap around it.
3.5 Cut the marquise groove as shown.
3.6 Smooth your soap.
3.7 Make a bigger marquise shape cut.
3.8 Cut the petal out.
3.9 Apply glue to the petal and attach 3 mm pearl beads.
